E-mail Your Availability
Jan 29th
There’s a new way to call-in your Availability for work!
E-mail it to call-in@ia15.org.
This is just a test to see how this works, so you will still need to call in and leave your availability on the voicemail line. It will still be for one week at a time. Just email your information for the week of work on the outgoing message. If this works out, we may make it a permanent option in the future.
January 2010 Cue Sheet now available
Jan 29th
The latest Cue Sheet is available now and should be in your snail mailbox as of today. If your copy ends up in the Recycle Bin and then you realize that you need to remember the new Dispatch Availability phone number ( btw the new number is (206) 470-3800), then feel free to visit the Cue Sheet Archive or download it here: http://www.ia15.org/archive/CSJan10.pdf

Update on the Availability line.
Jan 15th
Update on the Availability line.
The Availability Line will remain open until 10 am Sunday January 17th
for calling in your work for the week of January 25th to the 31st.
A problem occurred with the change over to the new phone system that deleted all the voicemail boxes attached to the old Availability number, which forced us to make a new Availability number (206) 470-3800 within the new system.
Because of this messages left on the old line after 8pm on Wednesday the 13th until 1pm Thursday may have been lost. To account for this the Availability line will remain open until 10 am Sunday January 17th to allow for anyone whose message may have been lost to call again with their Availability.
No one will be marked as a late call-in for that week if they still miss the Sunday deadline and call Dispatch with their Availability.
Also the only number to reach dispatch is (206) 443-0740. Some of you may have the old second line number that rang into Dispatch, that no-longer works. Dispatch still has multiple lines in the office but only (206) 443-0740 will ring.

Important Dispatch Information.

Important Dispatch Information
The Availability voicemail number has changed.
The new phone number is (206) 470-3800.
The old number will tell you to call the new number.
Today we changed over to a new phone system; parts of the old system were 20 years old. We originally planned (and so did Qwest) to keep the old Availability phone number, but during the changeover we discovered that was not possible.
There is a possibility that any messages left after 8pm on Wednesday the 13th through Thursday the 14th until 1pm may have been lost. If you called during that time, please call the new number and leave your availability again.
All of the other local’s numbers are still the same.
The Office is still (206) 441-1515 and Dispatch is still (206) 443-0740.
Thank you all for understanding while we make changes that will help the Local serve the membership and workers better.

Welcome to 2010!!!
Jan 11th
2010 is starting out BIG! In more ways than one…
First off, we have a new Business Representative, Mr. Paul Bigman, who will be gradually taking over duties from Mr. Bill Wickline in the upcoming months. Mr. Wickline will be entering retirement just in time for Major League Baseball spring training most likely. Mr. Bigman’s email will be stagerep(at)ia15.org and he can be reached by phone at (206) 604-8242.
Secondly, the look and feel of the website is getting a facelift yet again. The new look includes some features new to the site, such as allowing for following Local 15′s Twitter account, commenting on select pages, site searching, and the long sought after ability to Log In (although exactly how this will be used or what it will be used for is as yet undetermined at this time). A FAQ page is in the works. Feel free to sign up and register to the site in order to better utilize potential new developments as they get developed and installed.
And last but not least, our new phone system is finally getting installed this week! Betsy will believe it when she sees it.
Let us know what you think and what you’d like to see by using the comments or via email. Maybe you’ll even “Bleckov” yourself into writing a page or two for your brothers and sisters of the Local.
