About IATSE Local 15
Local 15
is a Labor Union organized in the crafts of Stage and Projection. We are the
Western Washington Local of The International Alliance Of Theatrical Stage
Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists And Allied Crafts Of The United
States, Its Territories And Canada
. We are affiliated with the

Local 15
was granted a charter in Seattle in 1894, the 15th local in the nation.
Our geographic jurisdiction is generally defined as Western Washington State.
It specifically includes the metropolitan Seattle area and all territory
extending northward to the U.S./Canadian Border, westward to the Pacific Ocean,
east and southward to a point halfway between Seattle and the nearest
affiliated local union with like craft jurisdiction, Portland and Spokane. Our
craft jurisdiction is Stage, Audio-Visual and Projection in the Entertainment,
Corporate Meeting, Trade Show and Film Exhibition industries. Our workers are
builders, riggers, electricians, sound engineers, etc.
We hold about a dozen theatrical contracts thoughout Western Washington
including the 5th Avenue Theatre, the Paramount Theatre, Seattle Opera, Pacific
NW Ballet, Beneroya Hall and Seattle Symphony, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT
Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, the Auburn Performing
Arts Center, the Pantages & Rialto Theatres and Mount Baker Theatre. In
addition to our stage contracts, we work at the Seattle Art Museum, Seattle
Center, Summer Nights at the Pier, WOMAD/USA and Chateau St. Michelle Winery on
concerts and festivals. We do convention work at the Washington State
Convention and Trade Center and many Seattle hotels.
