You should have received your statement in mid-November. If you need to self-pay to maintain your coverage for the quarter starting 1 January 2006, your check must be received by 15 December**. If you have not received your statement by now, please call the fund office at 800-456-FUND or visit www.iatsenbf.org.
Although the initial amount required for voluntary enrollment in Plan C-2 is $345, the amount required to reenroll after you have lapsed is $1470. So you can see the importance of staying current. Read your statement as soon as it arrives and pay any necessary amounts by the due date.
**Because of a snafu in the mailing this quarter, the deadline has been extended to December 27. You should still contact the fund office if you have not received your statement yet.
The next Membership Meeting has been changed to January 9. It is an open meeting; all members and permit workers in good standing are encouraged to attend.

Thanks to all the officers, staff, members and workers who have supported me for the last 8 years. It's been a productive time for the Local and I hope you will give the new administration your full support as we continue to go forward. Happy Holidays, LaurelLocal 15 Lending Library
Did you know that Local 15 has a lending library?!? It is stocked with books related to stage and projection, as well as some miscellaneous titles that you may find useful in real life. Larry Price has volunteered to serve as librarian. He is available to check out books in the office every first Monday before the general meeting (unless he has to work). We ask that you take the books out for one month at a time. You must be in good standing to check out books. Take advantage of this free opportunity to expand your knowledge!

Delegates
As you may be aware, Labor Council delegates are appointed by the President with the approval of the membership. If you have been serving as a delegate to a labor council, please contact me and let me know if you want to continue or not. There are quite a few delegate positions open currently and if you are interested in serving, please email pres@ia15.org right away to volunteer. I would also like to thank all the delegates who have served in the last 8 years. You do a great job for the Local by serving as a liaison to the labor community. In Unity, your soon-to-be-ex-President
In the Office
PLEASE be sure to contact all of your Employers when your address changes!! I get calls all the time from Employers saying that a paycheck has been returned to them because an address is wrong!!! Year-end W-2's will be mailed out starting in early January and you'll want those to arrive in a timely manner as well. Just imagine a tax season with all 15 of your W-2's arriving on time!!!!!!!!!
Many of you write all of your work calls down, including the date, how many hours you worked and where you worked. I applaud you!!!!! This is a great tracking system, especially when you are looking for a paycheck, or even if you file for unemployment. If you have not started doing this yet, you might want to pick up a desk calendar that has space enough each day to write your work calls down, and start doing it. It will save you time, worry and frustration in the future. Oh...and keep it by your phone, so that when you accept work from the dispatchers, you can write it on the calendar along with the time of the call!
There have been 5 DA's due this year. If you are unsure of your current standing with the Local, please call the office and make sure you are paid up.
Stamps and Defense Fund quarterly assessments for 2006 have gone up to $71.00. 1st quarter is due on December 1 and you need to pay by January 1 or you will be in arrears and suspended from dispatch. You won't get your 2006 membership card until you've paid for at least the 1st Quarter. You can always pay in advance. We will accept all four quarters at once, or one or two at a time, whatever your budget allows. Mostly, we just need you to pay on time.
The year of 2005 has brought lots of changes, some of them affecting our personal lives deeply. Please work safely and keep an eye out for your co-workers as well. We wish you all a happy, healthy and super fantastic 2006!

Business Representative
As everyone knows we continue to be very busy. At this point in time I do not see things slowing down. I have been receiving requests for rate sheets and conditions from a number of potential clients. The dates run from January through June 2005. So far, it looks good for next year!
In the area of contract negotiations we are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. We started off the year with a number of contracts to negotiate, somewhere around 20, and this did not include the day to day Letters of Agreement with clients that go on all the time. While the work was exhausting at times, we managed to get 'er done I want to thank all of you who helped out. I could not have done it without you.
One contract that we have been negotiating is with NASCO of Canada. After two plus years working on trying to get the new agreement and having to file 4 unfair labor practice charges against them they have decided they did not want a contract with Local 15, have pulled up stakes and are going back to Canada. I will have more on this contract and the Everett Event Center in my report at the monthly meeting. I would like to wish each and every one of you and your families a very special holiday season. In Solidarity, Bill Wickline.
Holiday Office Closures
The Office will be closed December 22 at noon through December 26 and again on January 2. Happy Holidays!
Stagehands! If you did not work in 2005, you must contact the office by December 31st to remain on the dispatch list!
Outreach
During the Holidays and this time of giving it is always important to remember those in need. The Community Outreach Program was established not only in order to promote community awareness but to also encourage camaraderie among our members. If you would like notice of volunteer opportunities by email or have ideas for ways that Local 15 can give back to the theatre community, email Alex Korahais at outreach@ia15.org. Remember, get your volunteer hours approved in advance. The volunteer hour forms are available in the office
